Royal College of Nursing (RCN) Congress Liverpool, April 2011

John Illingworth, Sue Mackay, Melanie Haisley and Alex Hodges attended and exhibited at the RCN Congress at the ACC in Liverpool on 11th – 13th April 2011. This was the first time that and Illingworth Research Ltd. had exhibited with the newly branded companies to the public.

The event was extremely successful, with 6000 people attending over the three days with over 300 delegates visiting the stand. The Congress agenda consisted of a variety of topics and issues including, re-emergent diseases in particular TB, the implementation of a skills passport in online format, allowing stakeholders access to qualifications, training and competencies held by individuals, social networking and nursing, excellence and patient care, blood donation and NHS reforms. There was lots of interest in both Illingworth Research and from physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.

The Congress also gave the team the opportunity to meet with Dr. Peter Carter, Chief Executive of the Royal College of Nursing, pictured above.
