Illingworth Research – Project Manager / Senior CRA – North West, UK

Our sister company Illingworth Research is looking to hire an enthusiastic and motivated Project Manager / Senior CRA to join their growing team, to manage and monitor their clinical trials. Illingworth Research is an expanding Clinical Research Organisation serving the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries in the UK, Europe and the USA.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a family-run and owned CRO with an exceptionally strong team who deliver what the sponsors tell us they need: high calibre people, flexibility, quality and highly motivated, high-performing teams.

The position will involve undertaking a variety of tasks, including the following core responsibilities:

  • Project management of study activities to ensure integrity of clinical data, in adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Management of external vendors including laboratories, Consultants, couriers and others as required per project.
  • Monitoring all aspects of clinical trials and participating in all types of site visits and ensuring adherence to applicable regulations, Good Clinical Practice, investigator integrity and compliance with all study procedures.
  • Data handling, reporting, tracking and administrative tasks.
  • Leading project teams and providing feedback and suggestions for successful completion of projects.
  • Coaching and mentoring less experienced CRAs to assist in their development and training.

To succeed in this role you will need the following skills/experience:

  • You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will have the qualities of a good team player with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • You will have over five years’ clinical trial experience which must include monitoring experience.
  • You must have a good working knowledge of ICH-GCP, relevant statutory instruments and other applicable regulations.
  • You must hold a clinical, science or health-related degree or nursing qualification or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Research Nurses (Ref. RN 05/15)

ResearchNurses.co are looking to recruit research nurses from all backgrounds who are interested in an exciting and diverse full or part time role in research.

The role will involve nurses working as part of a wider team to visit patients at sites or in the homecare setting, ensuring their safety whilst carrying out study-related procedures.

All candidates must possess a nursing qualification, be NMC registered and have good venepuncture skills. GCP preferable, but not essential.

A reasonable level of computer literacy, a strong sense of responsibility with excellent planning and communication skills are also necessary.
We have many ongoing and new projects taking place throughout the UK. Candidates can be based anywhere but must be willing to travel.
We are particularly keen to hear from research nurses in the London area and Ireland where we have a high number of ongoing projects.
